Pearl has performed in two of Tommy Kearney’s new
plays, Mrs Murphy in 'Windermere'
and Mother in 'Maggie'
and is now delighted to be directing his third Madonna and
Me.
As a director Pearl worked for over fifteen years directing
and producing a wide range of plays, from many musicals to
classics and Shakespeare, contemporary works and site-specific
and experimental physical Theatre. Many of these
productions were under the aegis of her own theatre company
SmallWorld.
Three years ago Pearl went back to her first love – acting – and
has worked non-stop ever since. She has performed at Shakespeare's
Globe and The Royal Court, The Kings Head, Cambridge Arts
Theatre, BAC and many other venues in a wide variety of productions. She
most recently tap-danced and piano-played her way through ‘Stepping
Out' and is about to appear at the Cochrane Theatre in ‘Girl
in the Forest' a physical theatre piece and in the new musical ‘Karoake
Wedding' at the Union Theatre. Pearl
is also currently working with a French writer and director
on a project about Antonin Artaud.
