More Information about Pearl Marsland

Pearl has performed in two of Tommy Kearney’s new plays, Mrs Murphy in 'Windermere' and Mother in 'Maggie' and is now delighted to be directing his third Madonna and Me.

As a director Pearl worked for over fifteen years directing and producing a wide range of plays, from many musicals to classics and Shakespeare, contemporary works and site-specific and experimental physical Theatre. Many of these productions were under the aegis of her own theatre company SmallWorld.

Three years ago Pearl went back to her first love – acting – and has worked non-stop ever since. She has performed at Shakespeare's Globe and The Royal Court, The Kings Head, Cambridge Arts Theatre, BAC and many other venues in a wide variety of productions.    She most recently tap-danced and piano-played her way through ‘Stepping Out' and is about to appear at the Cochrane Theatre in ‘Girl in the Forest' a physical theatre piece and in the new musical ‘Karoake Wedding' at the Union Theatre.      Pearl is also currently working with a French writer and director on a project about Antonin Artaud.
